Meet one of our heroes...

On each visit to the CAR, visitors complete tasks to improve the lives of those that live and work there. However, the real heroes are the staff that take care of our children every day, month after month, year after year. There are 35 Central African men and women working to help us accomplish our missions; this includes positions at the orphanage, school, medical clinic and school lunch program. Most of these employees bring home the income for their entire family. They are accustomed to working in the very tough conditions that are the norm in CAR... and they are true heroes. Without the dedication and expertise of the staff, our missions would not be possible.

Meet the staff... Lambert (Laam-bear) we first met in 2012. He had heard there was working happening at "the big house" and he walked for many miles to see if he could be of assistance. He was a huge help that day, was hired on full time and will be with us in the years to come. He cheerfully accepts any work that he is asked to do. He is also brave, during the war in 2013, Lambert was one of two employees that stayed at the orphanage while the rest of the children and staff were forced to evacuate due to a rebel invasion in the town. Lambert is the longest serving staff member and we are thankful for the opportunity to have him serving with us. Thank you Lambert!
