Joyeux Noel!

But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people...You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. -Luke 2: 10, 12

Sound familiar? During a time of hardship and fear there was a glimpse of hope as Jesus entered the world to fulfill a purpose the world could have never imagined.

Today we look at Christmas a little differently. Currently in the Central African Republic there is rebellion and unrest as the nation's elections approach later this week, causing fear, tension, and uncertainty for so many. People have been forced to leave their homes and compromise their basic human needs to ensure their safety to the best of their ability.

During this time, what we are reminded of is this: Jesus came with a purpose. He came to be our peace, our comfort, and our hope. Even amidst the chaos that the year has brought, we can rest in Jesus. He is more than enough. This Christmas, may you remember the hope we have in Jesus. While it has been a challenging year for most, we are able to rest knowing Jesus is the source of our hope; and that changes everything. With our sincerest gratitude, we thank you for supporting Jonathan's House this year. We are wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
